[] You will want to change the THEME in your gOS system. Here's how:
Point your Browser to:
http://www0.get-e.org/Themes/E17/

Once there you will see pictures of each new THEME.  Double Click on the picture of the THEME you want to use...
Scroll down when there... MY Favorite because it resembles "MS Windows" styles is "Title: Cthulhain"

[] So click on the "Title: Cthulhain" picture > Save File > [ It should default to download to your 'Desktop' > Close out
[] Now go to your Desktop > RIGHT CLICK on "Cthulhain.edj" > THEN LEFT CLICK on "Set As Theme"

That's it, you should now have a new THEME running... do the above with any of the other Theme's pictures on the website:

danyan first thank you for these how to threads they are great.

I just tried this one however and am having a problem. I went to the first site mentioned and got the download file for one of the themes, saved the edj file to my folder I created for themes,  then I went and double clicked on that edj file but it did not just open a box comes up asking me what I want to use to open it and I have no idea, is there some program I need to download to make these just open when clicked on?  If so what is it and where do I get it?

Ravencajun, i am not real sure but i think if where you doubleclicked on the downloaded edj file, instead right-click on it and pick "set theme"!!!

I haven't  tried it yet but i bet (hope) it will work.

I second the motion on the Great How-To's

 Cool     PEACE, CLIFCRAFT

thank you so much I had misunderstood and was double clicking instead of right clicking! once I did it correctly it did indeed work just fine and I now have a new theme with a clock I can actually read!

again danyan thank you too for the tutorials!

Danyan can you do one on how to set a screensaver? I have tried by adding to the ibar from the selection of screensvers that is listed but nothing works I am sure there is some simple way to do it.

At the moment these seems to be just one basic screen saver available, the "X screensaver" which just displays a big X on a random position on the screen. But who knows before long there will be many ported to gOS (the Enlightenment window manager). Ubuntu has loads of screensavers that perhaps could run on gOS or could be ported to it. Rember gOS is still in development.

I don't have an x I just have the screen that fades to black and stays black till I move the mouse.  I would take the x if I had any idea how to get it LOL
