The e17 Favorites menu is available from the top of the Main menu or by right-clicking on the Desktop. It is a very useful "quick launcher" for your most used applications - but only if the ones that are genuinely your favorites are listed.

This How-To takes you through the process of adding, deleting and reordering applications on the Favorites menu.
(Remember that any menu is only a launcher - deleting an application from the favorites menu does not mean you can't start it some other way. It will still be available elsewhere. You must also have the application you want actually installed on your computer before you can add it to a menu.)
1. Instant Gratification
There is one very quick way to add a new icon/launcher to your favorites. Simply open the application you want to add to the menu, 1) right click the titlebar, 2)select "Add Application.." and then 3) "To Favorites Menu". Done!

That's great for a one-off - but here's how to make multiple changes and get them organized.
2. The right tool for the job
Menu editing is a Configuration issue, so from the Main menu (left-click on the desktop) select Configuration>Configuration Panel.

From the first column, select "Menus" and from the second column select "Favorites Menu"
The following dialog (or something similar) will appear:

3. Select Your Weapons
The first column lists all available applications you could launch from the Favorites menu. The second column is your current Favorites list - in the order they appear on your current Favorites menu.
To ADD a new launcher, scroll the first column to find the application you want. Highlight it with a mouse click and then click on the "Add" button below the column. The new launcher will be added to the bottom of the right-hand column.
Repeat until all the applications you want on the Favorites menu are listed in the right column.
If there is anything in the right column you do not want on the Favorites menu, highlight it and select "Delete" with the button at the very bottom of the column.
4. Reorder your Favorites list
You can have your selected Favorites listed in order you want. Simply highlight an entry in the right column and use the "up" or "down" buttons to place it wherever you want.
4. Apply your changes and exit
Remember - with e17 you must always "Apply" any changes before exiting a dialog. Use the "Apply" and then the "OK" buttons at the bottom of the dialog.
You should now have the "Favorites" menu you have always dreamed of.
Here's mine (still a work in progress)
