Here Be Backgrounds!
Enlightenment excels as a Linux desktop that can be extensively modified to suit a users' needs and tastes. Our "How-To" series for OzOS covers many of the common modifications to elements such as backgrounds, icons, menus, desktop shelves and themes.
This page showcases selected e17 background images created by members of the CafeLinux OzOS forums. If you would like to install any of these backgrounds to your OzOS (or any recent e17) installation, click on the sample image, save the .edj file to disk, move the file to the hidden .e/e/backgrounds folder in your /home folder and then use the Configuration>Wallpaper menu to start the background Selector dialog. Choose the new image from the list (use the "Advanced" dialog to place the image on a single virtual desktop if you prefer). A more complete set of instructions is the subject of a separate "How-To" (LINK). If you already have an image to share, or have a question about background images, join us on the Forum Wallpaper topic.
For even more OzOS "eye-candy" visit our "Themes" page.
